Our staff focuses on educating the whole child ~ growing their knowledge, skills and strategies, tapping into their interests, and developing their social and emotional intelligence. One of our school wide goals is for our students to identify their emotions and use strategies to regulate those emotions. Yale's RULER approach will be one of the instructional tools we implement to accomplish this goal. Social and emotional safety is a foundation for learning and life. Another goal is for our students to articulate what they are learning, what mastery looks like and use feedback from their peers and teachers to advance their learning.

Mary Beth Iacobelli, Superintendent

Dr. Iacobelli served as Superintendent of the East Haddam Public Schools from 2012 through 2014. Prior to that she served as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools in New Britain, Connecticut, and as an elementary principal in New Britain and Meriden, Connecticut. Dr. Iacobelli is also certified in Special Education (K-12) and has extensive background experience working with children with special needs.
