Coming Home to Inspire: Alumni Return for Read Across America Day

Eight people smile in an indoor room with colorful wall art and a "Welcome" sign. They appear relaxed and cheerful.

There’s something truly special about seeing former students return to the halls where they grew up, and this week at Botelle School was no exception. As part of Read Across America Day, Botelle graduates—now juniors and seniors at Northwestern—came back to read to our classes, sharing stories and inspiring a new generation of learners.

It was a heartwarming sight to see these young adults, once students in these very classrooms, now stepping up as role models. Their enthusiasm and pride in giving back to their school community remind us just how lasting the impact of a supportive environment can be.

We couldn’t be prouder of our returning alumni. Their dedication to nurturing the next generation of readers truly embodies the spirit of Botelle—where the love of learning and community pride go hand in hand. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle!
