We’re thrilled to introduce you to Bonnie, a certified therapy dog who brings warmth and happiness to everyone she meets! Bonnie is a 7-year-old Labradoodle who, alongside her handler Mrs. Nelligan, was trained by Canine Links, Therapy Dogs—a wonderful volunteer organization based in Sheffield, MA. Canine Links prepares therapy dog teams to visit nursing homes, schools, libraries, and hospice care throughout the tri-state area.
Mrs. Nelligan shares, “They are a great organization and very supportive.” Thanks to their guidance, Bonnie is now an essential part of our community, spreading smiles and calm wherever she goes.
Bonnie visits Colebrook School every Tuesday and Botelle School every Thursday. Students and staff alike look forward to her visits—who wouldn’t love spending time with such a gentle, friendly, and cuddly companion? Bonnie’s favorite activities include being petted, training, and (of course) enjoying her training treats. She’s a quick learner and loves to show off her new skills!
One of the best things about Bonnie is her sweet, soft nature. Students light up when they see her, and it’s clear that her presence has a positive impact on everyone’s day. Even the staff can’t resist her charm!
We’re so grateful to have Bonnie as part of our community and appreciate the dedication of Mrs. Nelligan and Canine Links. Thank you for helping us share a little extra love and comfort!
